Unit 157 Board of Director Meeting Minutes
Attending: Clair Chisler, Mary Elizabeth Conaway, Jim Dobbyn, Dan Gubin, Clay Hall, O. T. Johnson, Barbara Kay, Don Kemp, Bob Lake, Aaron Maryanow, Jean Reaves, Barbara Stewart, Lee Stimson, Jerri Taylor, Bob Teel, Peggy Wiegand, Robert Whiting.
The meeting was
called to order by Unit 157 President, Bob Teel.
Minutes of the
last meeting were distributed by Secretary Don Kemp. A motion to approve the
minutes was made by Jerri Taylor, seconded by Lee Stimson, and passed
unanimously.
A treasurer's report was presented by Aaron Maryanow, showing a balance in cash, money markets, and Certificate of Deposits of $22,115.23 as of 10/13/05. Year to date income was $5,651.48 vs. expenses of $8,879,29, a difference of $3,237.81.
Jerri Taylor
stated that Awards of Excellence will be presented during the tournament to
five recipients. Jerri Taylor and Lee Stimson will present them Sunday at the
tournament. Mini McKenney 2004 awards will be presented also.
Aaron Maryanow
moved, seconded by Jim Dobbyn, that the unit provide $2,000 to Birmingham to
supplement expenses for the July, 2006 Birmingham/Baton Rouge Split Regional
provided that if Birmingham makes a lot of money they will refund money to the
unit to make up for the lack of revenue sharing the following year. The motion
passed.
Jean Reaves
stated that she has three teaching games in Auburn. She requested $400-500 to
support her teaching efforts. She was told to submit a bill to Maryanow and the
unit will pay 1/2 and the district will pay 1/2.
A motion was made by Lee Stimson, seconded by Jerri Taylor to make the payment to support Ms. Reaves games. The motion passed.
Clair Chisler
reported on the District 10 board meeting. She stated that the January, 2006
Biloxi Regional will be moved to Nashville.
The next meeting
of the unit board will be at the February sectional in Birmingham.
There being no
further business the meeting was adjourned.
