Overview This is a new teachers education program with a different certification than the T.A.P. It has been updated to include new methods and approaches, such as teaching on the internet. In addition, there is now more emphasis on duplicate bridge. Your teaching packet will include a copy of Audreys new beginning book, Bridge Basics, as well as materials for a Partnership Defense workshop. Audrey Grant, of Toronto, Canada, has built an international reputation in the field of bridge education. She is the author of the official textbooks for the ACBL and thousands of teachers have been using her methods for over a decade. Audrey calls herself an expert in simplicity. Her philosophy is that bridge is not a standardized test to measure your intelligence of the intelligence of partner its a game. She develops products to keep the game simple and preserve the magic when people of any age get together to play and stay mentally fit. It is a rare opportunity to have her in our local area. The all day program includes: Session One (10:00 to 12:00) Teaching Methodology Teaching the absolute and advancing beginner Simplifying a modern approach to competitive bidding Techniques for keeping players involved in continuing education Preparing students to play anywhere country clubs, social games, duplicate games Session Two (1:00 5:00) Tried, tested and successful Country Club programs Teaching in Bridge Clubs Continuing Education Programs Bridge Teaching on Cruise Ships Handling a wide range of experience and skill level in the same class Components of a successful pre-game tip The cost is $75, or $25 if you are currently an accredited teacher.
